Heated Downspout – Downspouts Heating Cables
The downspout is run between two building, so it does not see much sun, it also handles about 50% of the water from the roof. Usually after a longer cold spell and lots of snow it will freeze up solid. Ice may form in downspouts and prevent melting water from escaping from the roof. Corewarm heating cable is designed to be installed in the downspout to prevent ice build-up inside the downspouts.
